LINDSAY IS A WRITER, DIRECTOR, AND PRODUCER.
Lindsay Clift
Lindsay Clift is a comedy writer from Texas who is “white trash but bougie”. Born to an artist/nurse mother who was kidnapped as a child and a carpenter/paramedic father who ran from the law when she was four, Lindsay was raised by her mother and wealthy stepdad creating a complicated relationship with money and family. She writes dramedies about generational traumas manifesting in bizarre ways.
After receiving an AA in Psychology and Improv/Sketch training at The Upright Citizens Brigade, Lindsay went into work as an actress on such films as Oblivion and Focus and such TV Shows as Wild Card and Breakout Kings. She left acting to pursue writing/directing, earned a certificate in Directing from LA City College and a certificate in TV Comedy Writing from The Writing Pad. A commercial confronting the “helpless female” stereotype that she wrote and directed recently won best commercial in three festivals. She has directed a pilot set for festivals in the fall.
Lindsay has fallen into other careers throughout her life. She ran a modeling and acting school at 19 earning three figures. In New Orleans, she worked in Real Estate, as a Ghost Hunter/Tour Guide at a Haunted Mortuary and as a teacher.
